o_klyueva The Biden administration published its long-awaited five-year offshore oil and gas leasing plan Friday one day after missing its June deadline.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) plan included the possibility of the federal government holding up to 11 lease sales off the coast of Alaska and in the Gulf of Mexico over the five-year period between 2023-2028.
However, the plan also put forward the option of the federal government holding no lease sales in that same time period.

Around 1930 or so it was estimated that the oil fields in Saudi Arabia contained about 4 trillion barrels of oil. To date it has also been estimated that they have pumped about half of that.
There is a oil deposit on the Colorado-Utah border that today is estimated to contain 10 trillion untapped barrels of oil....
